22-year-old Akia Eggleston was so excited for her baby boy to come.
She was eight months pregnant in May of 2017 — a perfect time for her to have her baby shower.
And so, she planned it.
She organized the whole thing.
The tables were set.
The balloons were filled.
The guests were starting to fill in.
But Akia wasn’t there.
Her family was worried, but thought she might be at a hospital having the baby.
But then they went to her apartment.
Akia’s furniture was gone.
Her clothes were gone.
And there was no sign of Akia.
Thats when her family knew something really bad had happened.
They just didn’t know what…
